Welcome to Spectacle Lake Lodge!
On January 5, 2026, our family proudly took ownership of Spectacle Lake Lodge, and on January 30, we reopened our doors following a number of important repairs and updates.
We are honoured to continue the Lodge’s legacy and excited to bring our own ideas, energy, and personal touch to this special property. Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable experience for our guests while continuing to improve the Lodge for years to come.
A Message to Our Guests
We believe in being open and transparent with our guests.
As with any property undergoing a new chapter, there are areas of the Lodge and grounds that are still receiving attention and improvements. We are continually working behind the scenes to enhance the property, improve guest comfort, and bring our vision for Spectacle Lake Lodge to life.
These improvements are ongoing, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue this work.
We also want our guests to enjoy exceptional value while we do so.
Accommodation rates have been reduced by 20–40%, giving you the opportunity to experience Spectacle Lake Lodge at a significantly reduced rate while we continue making improvements.
And for those looking for an extended getaway, our Stay 7, Pay for 5 offer provides even greater value — book a minimum 7-night stay and receive 2 nights free.
We see this as an opportunity to invite guests to enjoy the Lodge, the lake, the surrounding trails, and the beauty of the Madawaska Valley while being part of an exciting new chapter.
Continuing to Invest in the Lodge
We are actively investing in improvements throughout the property, including plumbing, electrical systems, kitchen operations, building maintenance, and other areas that contribute to the overall comfort and operation of the Lodge.
We are also working on improvements to the appearance, atmosphere, and guest experience throughout the property.
Some improvements take time, but our commitment is ongoing. With every season, we are working to make Spectacle Lake Lodge a little better than it was the season before.
A Few Current Updates

Wi-Fi was previously available only within the main Lodge. We are continuing to expand our internet coverage and are actively working toward providing better access throughout the property.

Satellite television is no longer available at the Lodge. Instead, we have provided DVD players in our rooms and cottages, along with a selection of movies that guests are welcome to borrow during their stay. It’s a simple way to enjoy a quiet evening after a day on the lake or exploring the trails.

Game Room & Lending Library - Our game and event room offers a pool table, shuffleboard, darts, and a growing selection of board games. Guests are welcome to borrow board games and enjoy some time together during their stay.

Our hot tub is currently unavailable due to damage. We are reviewing our options for its repair or replacement and will provide an update when a decision has been made.

Spectacle Lake Lodge is surrounded by opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the Madawaska Valley.
Guests can enjoy our waterfront, trails, nearby ATV and snowmobile routes, and easy access to the surrounding area, including Algonquin Park.

Summertime at Spectacle Lake Lodge invites everything from Lounging on the beach with your toes deep in the sand,
taking Peaceful Swim, or a Canoe, Kayak or Paddleboard out
for a Tranquil Tour around the lake and perhaps drop a line
for a Quick Catch, to enjoying a Snack on our Licensed Patio
with a Cool Beverage, all allowing you to let the stresses of
day to day life simply slip away.
There is always something for Families to do at Spectacle Lake Lodge. Corn Hole, Yardzee, Badminton and other Lawn Games. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the nearby 50 kms of All Purpose Trails. Return to the Lodge for delicious Smokerlicious Dinner served on our Licensed Patio overlooking the lake. Then, as the sun disappears for the day, head back to the beach and pull up one of the comfy beach lounge chairs, join others at our Community Campfire, look up to the night sky and be mesmerized by a Star-lit Light Show. For this event alone the Lodge brings star gazers from around the country to steal a glimpse of nature’s wonders.

Spectacle Lake Lodge is pleased to offer 6 Lodge Rooms. Each room has inside access to the Front Office, the Smokehouse Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. All lodge rooms are equipped with full linens, hairdryer, mini fridge, coffee maker (featuring our special Smokehouse Blend, roasted locally), ice bucket, mugs and glassware. All lodge rooms are steps from the Outdoor Hot Tub.
A Communal Campfire Pit, on the Beach, for All Lodge Rooms. Campfire wood is available for purchase.
All 9 Cabins have their own Picnic Table and Campfire Pit. Campfire wood available for purchase.
